Tracking & tracing

In 2012, a new self-developed, tracking and tracing system will be used.
Like other years, t & t is required for the match-teams. Unlike other years,
the teams have to provide a mobile phone with GPS. This involves in
succession according to the preferrence:

1. Mobile working on Android and who can multitask esrm + app
    installed
2. Iphone 4 (instamapper installed)
3. Iphone 3 (instaMapper installed)

Option 1 is best tested. And do with mobiles of the brands HTC
and Samsung (multitasking). Option 2 is preferable to option 3,
due to the fact that the Iphone 4 can multitask.

click here. Each team gets the login details sent by mail,
regardless of whether one uses GPS tracking.

The competition teams (Open and HV) are provided with a battery
(+ Waterproof box) on the race day. It is important that the teams
themselves bring a USB cable for connecting the mobile to the battery!

The remaining accumulators are assigned on the basis of notification
at the successive categories to which the 50 is reached.

The other teams may make use of the apps against a
fee (15 euros), but should provide (extra) flow themselves.

What are the possibilities of GPS?
The boats equipped with a tracker can be followed during the trip in
eal time on a PC, laptop, netbook or PDA with internet access. The
livepage also consists of a chat feature and the ability to display photos
and videos who can be add during the tour. Afterwards, the racecourse
can be watched again with the replay function.

The system allows to follow the teams live. Thus, teammates, spectators
and those who stayed home can follow the position of their team.
There are also large screens installed at the boathouses of
LRV Wetterwille and De Geeuw (Sneek).
